Leadership Essentials Program Structure

Leadership Essentials is a four month program of practical and highly interactive learning designed to fast-track leadership capability development for new leaders. Through four interactive workshops participants are supported by expert facilitators to build key leadership skills.

  • This one on one onboarding session will offer you a fully supported, debrief of SHL’s Occupational Personality Questionnaire psychometric assessment, with a facilitator who is Masters qualified in Organisational Psychology. The perfect primer for capability development is personal insight and understanding.

  • This workshop focuses on critical elements of effective leadership, your ability to communicate effectively and to create a psychologically safe environment. A leaders ability to create a Psychologically Safe working environment underpins all other elements of leadership, and is now required by law (Occupational Health and Safety Act).

  • The transition from ‘doing’ to ‘overseeing’ work is one of the most common challenges experienced by leaders, and a common source of inefficiency and conflict. Our Six Steps to effective delegation will equip you with skills to delegate in a way that is clear, equitable and empowering.

  • The third workshop will provide a structured approach to managing and reviewing performance and tips on how to support this with a coaching approach to professional development. Combining capability developed in previous sessions, you will leverage these skills in maxmising the contributions of your team into the future.

  • The final session will equip leaders with the skills to effectively identify, constructively engage in, and resolve conflict in the workplace. Turning conflict from a risk to team harmony, productivity and culture into a tool your team can use to achieve its goals.
